Church is the only place where a person’s body, mind and spirit can be nurtured on a weekly basis and throughout a life span.

The Parish Health Ministry is designed to bring to the members of Christ Lutheran Church services that focus on the biblical interpretation of wellness.  How we understand the interaction of mind, body and spirit broadens our understanding of how God works in the world and in our lives.

The Parish Health Ministry is directed by the Parish Nurse who serves as health educator, advocate, counselor and support facilitator. Programs and services reflect the needs of the members of the congregation, feature monthly health information, and have included classes on health and wholeness, care-giving, and women's health, as well as health promotion activities...everything from a “Walking to Jerusalem” program to blood pressure screening!

We support our church family with services of Healing and Holy Communion, visits, meals, prayer (and prayer shawls!), and care through all sorts of life changes.  We are also involved in developing a new ecumenical healthcare ministry in our congregation’s Lakeside area.
